This experience reflects knowledge of special systems and considerations required in the design of such facilities.
Fire & Rescue Training Academy
A phased renovation and addition to the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department’s training facility. The building includes administrative spaces, classrooms, an ambulance simulator, exercise room, and standard and personnel protective equipment locker rooms.
Great Falls Fire Station
A new 4-bay fire and rescue station including living and training areas, a kitchen, a fitness room, locker rooms, and a community meeting room. Special features of this design include radiant floor heat in the apparatus bays, a green roof, and integration with a septic field.
Fair Oaks Police & Fire Station
A two story 18,000 SF addition to an existing police & fire station including meeting and administrative spaces, exercise room, locker rooms, evidence processing and storage, ready gear storage, bunk room, and apparatus bay. The renovation included replacement of the existing electrical service and central HVAC plant and was phased to allow the facility to remain in operation at all times.
